Osama Bin Laden has urged European countries to end their engagement in Afghanistan in his fourth message in two months. The broadcast was over al-Jazeera television, and experts are yet to authenticate whether the voice is of the Al Qaeda leader.
Bin Laden told Europeans that it would be better for them to get their politicians away from the White House, and worked to undo the wrong to the oppressed.
The media-savvy Bin Laden has emerged from the shadows recently to rattle US and European governments, and perhaps more importantly to remind people that despite US efforts, he remains still at large.
His previous messages were not immediately followed by terrorist attacks on the targets he outlined, which includes Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf.
